Summary
Abstract: Estimation of the solar irradiance reaching the Earth surface, derived from the geostationary satellite Meteosat, derived at present from the 0.6Ám visible channel of SEVIRI, produced by remapping over a 0.05░ regular grid and expressed in W/m2. Algorithm is a physical parameterization applied separately to every pixel of a satellite image to derive an instantaneous field of the Solar Surface Irradiance. An essential point is the calculation of products interpolated at rounded UT hours. A radiative flux calculated on a satellite image is not homogeneous in time (the pixel time varies from north to south, of about 12 minutes for Meteosat data).
