Fronts and Atlantic Storm-Track EXperiment (FASTEX) Model Forcing and Data for the GEWEX Cloud System Study Data Integration for Model Evaluation (GCSS-DIME)

Abstract: The Fronts and Atlantic Storm-Track EXperiment (FASTEX) field
experiment took place in January and February 1997 and studied
midaltitude storms in the Eastern North Atlantic region. This case
study presents data from 1 Feb 1997 to 28 Feb 1997 and covers a region
from 30N to 65N latitude and from 60W to 5E longitude.

The data for this experiment is under Working Group 3 (Extratropical
Layer Cloud Systems) of the GEWEX Cloud System Study (GCSS) to improve
physical parameterizations of clouds, other boundary layer processes,
and their interactions.
