Evolution and biogeochemical cycle of pollutants - Pollutants_in_the_aerosol
Entry ID: Pollutants_in_the_aerosol

Abstract: Determination of organic pollutants and trace metals in the aerosol. Evaluation
of their concentration to highlight that atmospheric aerosol is an important
pathway by which pollutants are transported on a remote scale.

Quality Aerosol (PM10) was collected by a brushless hi-vol samplers equipped with
cellulose filter, which were digested by microwave oven; trace metals were
detected by ICP-SFMS. Organic pollutants in the particulate (> 1 um) and the
gaseous phase were retained respectively on a quartz fibre filter and a
polyurethane foam plug (PUF), which were separately analyzed by HRGC-HRMS.
