Land Cover for Utah - Soils

Abstract: This data set represents the extent of defined soil types throughout Utah. This
data set consists of digital soil surveys. It is generally the most detailed
level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil
Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, conpiling information
onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing or revising digitized maps using
remotely sensed and other information.

Quality The Utah Automated Geographic Reference Center (AGRC) is currently in the
process of updating its GIS data. The data associated with some of these files,
however, has not been updated for a number of years, and may be inaccurate in
places. The AGRC provides no warranty, nor accepts any responsibility or
liability, for any inaccurate or incomplete data associated with these files.

Use Constraints Data released to the Receiving Agency (RA) remains the property of the
originating data source (see Source_Information) and cannot be reproduced for
sale by the RA without the written consent of that data source. Redistribution
of datasets unchanged as obtained from the AGRC and without fee is allowed.
Any hardcopies utilizing these data sets shall clearly indicate their source.
If the RA has modified the data in any way, they are obligated to describe the
types of modifications they have performed on the hardcopy map. RA specifically
agrees not to misrepresent these data sets, nor to imply that changes they made
were approved by the AGRC.
