Summary
Abstract: The Pleiades system is an optical observation system with a metric resolution designed to offer a high acquisition capability with a revisit lower than 24 hours to satisfy both civilian and military needs. This programme is part of CNES's Earth observation strategy.Pléiades system is constituted of a constellation of two optical satellites (visible and near infrared domain) on a Sun-synchronous orbit at 694 km, offering a spatial native resolution at nadir of 0.7 m and a field of view of 20 km, a great agility enabling a daily access all over the world, and a stereoscopic acquisition capacity.The data adressed in this description are Pleiades 1A and 1B IAP data (N0 onboard compressed files).
