Summary
[Adapted from Berkeley Digital Seismic Network (BDSN) Overview: http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/bdsn/bdsn.overview.html] The Berkeley Digital Seismic Network (BDSN) is one of several networks of seismic instrumentation in northern and central California operated by the Berkeley Seismological Laboratory. The BDSN is an array of high dynamic range, ... broadband seismometers with collocated strong-motion accelerometers. Data from these stations are transmitted to UC Berkeley using continuous telemetry and are analyzed for earthquakes. 20 sites are currently operational and additional stations are planned. Two other BDSN sites consist of strong-motion accelerometers. Data are available in Standard for the Exchange of Earthquake Data (SEED) format. Queries of the BDSN holdings may be made using SeismiQuery, http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/SeismiQuery/, a web-based tool that allows users to query the database for specific information about data availability as well as network, station and channel information. Users may also request data via NetDC Request Form, http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/ncedc/seed-waveforms.html.

GET DATA
Description:
The NCEDC uses an ORACLE database to archive meta data as well as timeseries
information. SeismiQuery is a web tool that allows users to query the database
for specific information about data availability as well as network, station
and channel information. SeismiQuery is made up of several pre-formatted
queries that focus on specific types of information and data requests. Users
may also write their own queries in SQL (a primer is provided).
