Associated_Platforms

Definition

Specific platform (source) names associated with the instrument being described. This field may prove useful to associate instruments with the satellite/aircraft platform (source) on which these instruments/sensors are deployed.

Syntax

<Associated_Platforms>
<Short_Name>platform short name keyword</Short_Name>
</Associated_Platforms>

* <Short_Name>: 1 to 31 characters from the printable UTF-8 character set.

Usage

Optional.
<Short_Name> may be repeated.
<Short_Name> must be selected from the list of platform (source) keywords.

Example

[If the instrument being described is MODIS, which flies on both Aqua and Terra, the two “associated” platforms would be described as indicated here.]
