The mission of the Gulf Coast Research and Education Center at the University
of Florida is to develop and disseminate new scientific knowledge and
technology regarding commercial ornamental, strawberry, and vegetable crops
assisting Florida's agriculture producers to be competitive in the world
economy and to function as an integral part of the Cooperative Extension
Service, UF-IFAS disciplinary departments, and other research centers with
extension, undergraduate and graduate student training, and interdisciplinary
research for the benefit of Florida's consumers, producers, and students.
