Data Center Description
The NOAA Library Catalog, accessible worldwide via the Internet on the
library's home page, http://www.lib.noaa.gov, contains entries for
collections located at the NOAA Central Library and 27 other NOAA
libraries throughout the country. The NOAA Central Library maintains
a collection of more than one million books, journals, technical
reports, data in printed form, compact discs, and electronic databases
that support research in oceanography, ocean engineering, marine
resources, ecosystems, coastal studies, climatology, meteorology,
geodesy, geophysics, cartography, mathematics, and statistics. The
Library's home page also provides access to over 25,000 historical
NOAA photos and over 250,000 pages of historical climate data from
around the world.
