The Surveys Division is responsible for providing coordination and leadership for the Department's land surveying program; establishing, maintaining, and monitoring land surveying standards and also equipment standards; administering orders of survey, boundary line maintenance contracts and distribution of surveying information; preparing administrative plans and related cartography; providing digital cadastral input to the forest resources G.I.S.; maintaining a registry of Crown lands for all departments and agencies; maintaining and researching records, maps, and title files for interests in Crown lands; and documenting non-resident land holdings.
