Abstract:
The UKMO HADAM2 model part of the line of Unified Models (UM) intended
to provide a common framework for forecasting and climate applications
(cf. Cullen 1993 ). The dynamical formulations are those described by
Bell and Dickinson (1987); the physical parameterizations are
substantially modified from those of an earlier UKMO model documented
by Slingo (1985) .

The differences between HADAM2b and HADAM2 are briefly described in
the Hewitt and Mitchell (1997) paper.
The UKMO HADAM2b model is a coupled atmosphere-mixed layer ocean
model.

for computed experiments, the model is designated as:
