Abstract:
The Western South Atlantic mangrove ecosystems of Brazil, roughly 85% of 7,367 km of coastline covering 16 States, on the Southeast Region is based on 19 publications.
Quality
This dataset began as two text files: (1) a file containing IDs and coordinates and (2)a file of label attributes supplied by NCDC. More specifically, the first text file had boundary arcs of climate divisions (not including state boundaries) and the second text file had label coordinates for climate division polygon ... attributes that included a state number (ST#) and a division number within that state (DIV#).
During this dataset.s creation, state boundaries were not readily available in a single format. Therefore, manipulation was performed on state boundary coverages when necessary. For example, a coverage for the state of New Jersey was in a different projection than coverages of other states. It came in an unknown Albers projection which had to be warped to match the climate division boundaries from other states.
