Abstract:
Observational data from the FNMOC Ocean QC (Quality Control) process are posted
in near real-time to the USGODAE server. These files contain all of the
unclassified in-situ data used to initialize the US Navy NOGAPS model, and all
of the climate and background (forecast) values used in the QC process.
Altimetry products include sea surface height (SSH) deviation, significant wave
height (SWH), wind speed and "bad" data points on TOPEX/Poseidon, JASON-1, GFO,
ERS, and ENVISAT satellites.
