Abstract:
HIR3ZAD is the EOS High Resolution Dynamics Limb Sounder (HIRDLS) zonal average product for daytime nitrogen dioxide (NO2) data. The current version is 6. The product contains the daytime zonal averages at 2 degree latitude bands from -81 to +65 degrees latitude along with. The product consists of one file spanning the entire HIRDLS mission from January 22, 2005 through March 17, 2008 with a zonal
... average for each day. The recommended useful vertical range is from 56.2 to 1.0 hPa, and the vertical resolution is about 1.2 km decreasing to 2 - 4 km at the ends of the useful range. Users of the HIR3ZAD data product should read the Version 6 HIRDLS Data Description and Quality document for more information
The data are stored in the version 5 EOS Hierarchical Data Format (HDF-EOS5), which is based on the version 5 Hierarchical Data Format, or HDF5. The data file contains one zonal average (ZA) object with data fields, attributes, and metadata. The data fields include the zonal means, precision (standard deviation), and covariances. Time, latitude and vertical pressure information are also included in the file.
