Abstract:
The Florida State University (FSU) Department of Meteorology web
server offers both Current Weather and Archived Meteorological data. The
current weather server provides current Florida State University area
weather forecasts and weather observations. There are also forecasts
and observation data covering the Florida cities of Pensacola,
Tallahassee, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach,
... Orlando, Tampa,
Melbourne, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Miami, and Key West. The Tropical
Weather section offers links to tropical weather forecasts from the
NOAA National Hurricane Center.
The meteorological data section offers links to NEXRAD weather radar
site images from the WSI Intelicast Web site http://www.intellicast.com/
Upper-Air data is available by way of the FSU CUDOS (Comprehensive
Upper-Air Demonstrations Observations, and Systems Project) web site.
This includes current and archived Rawinsonde and Dropsonde data.
The Marine meteorology section provides data from marine stations
along the Florida Peninsula, Gulf of Mexico, and Southeast US/Atlantic
Coastal United States.
The FSU data archive offers archived text based Climate Reports,
Forecasts, Surface Weather Data, Upperair Data, Warning Reports, and
Hydrological Reports. The Text Bulletin page provides National Weather
Service weather bulletins for the United States archived to the
previous 72 hours.
