The AWS Project involves collecting meteorological data from an array of Automatic Weather Stations in Antarctica, Greenland, and Peru. This data is freely available on our ftp site in a couple of different formats for our clients. Though this data is free for use, we do ask that you acknowledge our Project in any published work within which you use the data. We receive our grants via NSF's ... Office of Polar Programs.
We have data for Antarctica dating back to 1980, Greenland back to 1987, and Peru back to 1992. The data can be found in both raw and "corrected" formats; more information about this data and the specific locations of our stations can be found in the files "readme.faq" and "biglist" on our ftp site.
Our data is in a tabular ASCII text format, easily ingestable into programs or spreadsheets alike. For more information, please contact us at email@example.com.
