Abstract:
Slant column densities of stratospheric nitrogen dioxide (NO2) determined from spectroscopic measurements of zenith scattered twilight at wavelengths from 430-485 nanometres.
These data are provided by the NDACC (Network for the Detection of Atmospheric Composition Change) on an annual basis and then stored at the AADC. Only data that are two years old are made available.

Public summary of the season progress:
Ground-based measurements of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), one of the key trace gases in the atmosphere, have been made at Macquarie Island since 1996 and span now more than 12 years. These long-term observations made at Macquarie Island help us to bridge the gap between measurements made in the Antarctic and at mid-latitudes. The observations during the 2008/2009 season went smoothly and we have no problems to report.
