Abstract:
The submarine topography of Lutzow-Holm Bay, East Antarctica, was investigated by radio-echo sounding from the surface of sea ice.
The program started in 1960, but the intensive surveys were conducted in 1968, 1973 and in particular 1981. The data were compiled as the bathymetric chart of the Lutzow-Holm Bay.
Complicated topography formed by former glacial erosion exerted by a former expanded ice sheet was revealed.
The input data capacity of latitude and longitude values are limited only to degrees.
The exact values are as follows: Min. Latitude: 69 deg. 50min. S Max. Latitude: 68 deg. 30min. S Min. Longitude: 36 deg. 30min. E Max. Longitude: 40 deg. 50min. E
