In 1968 the Australian Antarctic Division had a group of four men spend over a year on the Amery Ice Shelf. As part of their program of work, they took regular (usually daily) records of the weather where they were located. Observations included wind speed, wind direction, temperature, air pressure, cloud cover, and general notes about the weather condition.
