Abstract:
This database has been developed to provide data for state of the environment reporting and as an aid for the management of contaminated sites in Antarctica. It contains known suspected and known contaminated sites in the AAT. Each site has a unique ID number (gazetteer ID), and any activities that occur at the site are entered as an event with a unique date and time. Events are classified as contamination, evaluation, recommendation, remediation, risk assessment or sampling. Three indicators are derived from these data:
