The Gulf of Maine Watershed Information and Characterization System
(GM-WICS) is a geographic information system database and
characterization system, including historical and near real-time
discharge and water chemistry data and the results of water balance
and water chemistry modeling. GM-WICS is a diagnostic framework for

... nutrients in the Gulf of Maine
Watershed area.
GM-WICS is a part of the Water Systems Analysis Group at the
University of New Hampshire. This analysis group is involved in a
number of research activities focused on the broad-scale aspects of
the terrestrial water cycle. These activities include data set
development, modeling, and global change impact assessment. Some of
the key activities are highlighted below.
