Abstract:
Data from a ship-mounted Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) are
reported from 7 cruises to the Antarctic, March - September 2001
and 2002. The survey area includes the continental margin off the
Western Antarctic Peninsula and the adjacent inshore water of
Marguerite Bay and Crystal Sound. Ancillary north/south sections
across the
... Drake Passage are reported for transects from Punta Arenas,
Chile to the study area and return.
Data reported: hourly averaged values of the U (east-west) and V
(north-south) components of ocean currents, for 8 meter depth bins
between 26 and ~350 meters, along the ships' tracks.
