Abstract:
The climate data resides in 1 book, 'Meteoroligische Beobachtungen in Moskau im Jahre' (C/db L685) written in German. The data contained in this book are daily and monthly surface climatic data for Moscow, Russia from 1900 to 1909. Daily variables for each month of the period incorporated in these data are the following: mean maximum and minimum pressure, and mean and mean amplitude variation of ... humidity. Monthly parameters for each month contained in these data are: mean pressure, cloudiness, winds, snow, air and snow-level temperature, temperature at different depths, sunshine hours and evaporation; mean maximum and minimum air, soil, and snow level depth temperature and solar radiation; absolute maximum and minimum pressure, temperature, humidity, and 24 hour precipitation maximum; mean maximum and minimum temperature, humidity, cloudiness, and precipitation; number of days of frost, clear skies, cloudy skies, and partly cloudy skies, precipitation, precipitation of a certain intensity, snow, hail, graupel, fog, haze, dew, ice, lightning, thunderstorms, strong and calm winds, and rainbows; wind direction frequency; mean amplitude variation of the temperature; amplitude mean of the temperature; and maximum and minimum amplitude of the pressure, temperature, and humidity. Monthly variables averaged over the period are mean air temperature and temperature variation. In addition, dates of earliest plant blooms are given.

Information in this collection dates back to the 18th century for daily, monthly, seasonal, and annual tabular summaries, and the 19th century for weather maps. These data are the result of foreign exchange agreements, but the collection has not been updated since 1983.
