Abstract:
Mass balance observations were carried out during the 1991/1992 Chinese Antarctica Expedition, when 64 stakes and 15 snow pits were established on Little Dome. Nine sets of simultaneous observations were conducted over the course of a full year. Combined with ice core data, the mass balance pattern of the ice cap can be obtained, providing estimates to mass balance variations over the past 20 years.
