Abstract:
This data set is the results of control point surveys conducted by GSI in the eastern Dronning Maud Land. About 360 ground control points have been established since 1957. Most of their coordinates were derived from the astronomical latitude and longitude of the astronomical point at Syowa Station, where the first astronomical observation was conducted in 1957. In response to the recommendation of WG-GGI to XXV SCAR, GSI is revising these coordinates into ITRF by GPS surveys with reference to the Syowa IGS site .
