The above research on barium biogeochemistry involves the following: - Studies on the variability Antarctic Bottom Water formation; - Studies on the spatial variability primary production; - The parameterisation euphotic zone models; - Studies on the relationship between barium, silicon, salinity and oxygen; and - Studies of carbon and nitrogen isotopes; alkalinity and carbon dioxide.
