Abstract:
The NSF-supported research icebreaker Nathaniel B. Palmer operates year-round in support of the U.S. Antarctic Program, carrying out global change studies in biological, chemical, physical, and oceanographic disciplines. This data set consists of underway data from leg NBP0701 on the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer. This leg started at Lyttelton, New Zealand and ended at Lyttelton, New Zealand.
Quality
The conservation areas have been verified and aligned to either hydrological units or ecoregions. This reflects the revision and review as submitted for Federal review in September, 2005. The plan will be updated again at 5-year intervals. The completeness is limited to species observed so is incomplete. Some species are more easily observed and surveyed that others.
