Summary
Abstract: The soils on high level surfaces in Victoria Land were examined for evidence of deposition origin. The areas visited include New Harbour, the Wright Valley, several valleys in the Western Asgard Range, Cape Evans, Cape Royds, the Olympus Range, Bull Pass and the Insel Range. Soils had been previously studied in detail but were re-examined because they were of known age and were used as markers against which the age of other soils could be assessed. Collected samples were analysed in the lab to determine their deposition weathering.
