Summary
Abstract: This data set consists of DSDP site 609 14C Dates, %N.pachy, lithics, total
forams, and oxygen isotopes. Date collected-21 July 1983.

DSDP Site 609 provides evidence for massive iceberg discharges into the North
Atlantic during the last glacial cycle. DSDP609 contains layers rich in
ice-rafted debris and depleted in foraminifera, reflecting marked decreases in
sea surface temperature and salinity associated with drifting ice.
