Video recordings of Antarctic fish behaviour to determine if they have a circadian activity rhythms
Entry ID: K012_2001_2002_NZ_1

[ Update this Record ]

Summary
Abstract: An underwater video camera was set up at a 6m depth at Cape Evans to record the behaviour of Antarctic fish. Fish movements were monitored and regular video recordings were made 24 hours a day for 3 days. Circadian activity rhythms of fish behaviour was recorded. A similar set up was unsuccessful at Cape Roberts and alternatively 3 captured fish were held in a chilly bin and video recordings of their behaviour was analysed.
