Abstract:
This data set contains the record of stable isotopes of hydrogen and oxygen in the WAIS Divide WDC06A core from West Antarctica. Samples have been analyzed at high resolution (nominal 3cm intervals) at INSTAAR, University of Colorado, using mass spectrometers. Oxygen isotopes (18O): 114.20-352.05 meters depth at approximately 3 cm resolution. Hydrogen isotopes (D/H): 114.20-197.23 meters depth
... at approximately 3 cm resolution. There are a few gaps in the data due to occasional analysis problems, and larger gaps where entire batch-runs went poorly. All of these are slated for re-runs. Samples are cut and prepared from 114.195-576.984 meters depth, but not yet analyzed and/or released for use as of 11-30-10.This work is supported by funding from the NSF Office of Polar Programs (NSF OPP ANT0537593), and links directly to work that Eric Steig and others at the University of Washington are doing on this core as well. Steig has measured this same core at a lower resolution for stable isotopes.
