Abstract: This data set contains the record of stable isotopes of hydrogen and oxygen in the WAIS Divide WDC06A core from West Antarctica. Samples have been analyzed at high resolution (nominal 3cm intervals) at INSTAAR, University of Colorado, using mass spectrometers. Quality The high resolution Stable isotopic data in this data set were produced by mass spectrometry. The hydrogen isotopes were analyzed utilizing an automated uranium reduction system (Vaughn et al.1998) and a Micro Mass SIRA mass spec. Error associated with this measurement is less than ±1 per mil, and typically ± 0.6 per mil. The oxygen isotopes were analyzed using co2/h20 equilibration method (Epstein and Mayeda,1953) and a Micromass Optima mass spec. Error associated with this measurement is less than 0.1 per mil, and typically ±0.05 per mil.
