This dataset contains ice-flow velocities measured at 90 sites in a 150-km by 80-km area including a deep “WAIS Divide” ice coring site near the Ross and Amundsen flow divide of West Antarctic Ice Sheet. 3-m-long poles were installed into the firn at each site. Their positions were measured in 2005-6 and 2006-7 field seasons using L1/L2 GPS receivers. Precise Position Pointing method provided online by Canadian Geodetic Survey was used to determine positions of the “base” markers in each marker cluster. Based on these measurements, strain configurations were estimated. Available parameters are: horizontal velocity vector, divergence, curl, stretching shear, deformation, extension, compression and angle of the extension axis.
