Abstract:
This report contains tabular data on abundance and distribution of 54 species or categories of fish eggs and larvae caught on stations spread throughout the Gulf of St. Lawrence, mainly south of the Laurentian Channel, in May, June, August and September of 1965 to 1975. The various types of catching gear are indicated. Temperature and salinity data are given for each station as well as the volumes of water strained by nets. Length measurements of samples of some species of fish larvae and development of fish eggs are also included. Track charts for each cruise are shown. Further detailed environmental data for each station, shown on the cruise charts, are available from Marine Environmental Data Service, Marine Sciences Directorate, Ottawa.
