Summary
Abstract: Data were obtained using Gulf of Mexico (Gomex) frameless box corer 24.5cm x
24.5cm in yoked pairs. Samples were taken along depth transects in the US EEZ
(Northern Gulf of Mexico). The most complete hardcopy record is:

The National Oceanographic Data Center archives for this study are incomplete.
Data was obtained from the original contractor and converted to an
OBIS-compatable format by R.S. Carney at Louisiana State University with
support from MMS.

Project
Quality LGL Ecological Associates carried out the study under contract with MMS. They
were closely advised by Willis E. Pequegnat and annually advised by a board of
recognized deep-sea biologists. LGL did not have prior experience in deep
water. Experts examined voucher specimens. Vouchers are on file at the U.S.
National Museum of Natural History and at Texas A&M University
