Abstract:
This dataset of 6999 records, tabulated from raw data, represents abundances of copepods collected from Fletcher's Ice Island (T-3) in the Canadian Basin of the Arctic Ocean during January 1970 to April 1972 and at AIDJEX from June to September 1975. In 1970-1972 samples were taken, using a 2m-square closing net with a 223-um mesh aperture (sampling 10m increments) and for 1975, a 1-m diameter
... conical, non closing net with a 73-um mesh. This dataset is a subsection of zooplankton sampled at T-3 from March 1966 through May 1974 and at AIDJEX from June through September 1975.This data were collected as part of a PhD. Dissertation Phytoplankton Primary Production below Arctic Ocean Pack Ice: An Ecosystem Analysis by Clarence Greer Pautzke. Other disciplines examined within this thesis are: surface observations, chlorophyll a, seawater analysis and primary production. Data from this larger study can be found in; Scott, D.A. and T. Saunders English “Zooplankton other than Copepoda collected from Fletcher’s Ice Island (T-3) in the Canadian Basin of the Arctic Ocean” University of Washington Technical report No 241 and Scott, D.A. and T. Saunders English “Copepoda collected from Fletcher's Ice Island (T-3) in the Canadian Basin of the Arctic Ocean”, University of Washington Technical Report No. 240. These data are also served by ArcOD. Dates may not be continuous as all of the samples may not have been analyzed or the data may not have been recovered.
