Summary

Abstract: In order to assist in the rapid characterization of Earth surface locations prior to and after significant events, the USGS coordinates satellite and aerial imagery and related data distribution to emergency responders. The Hazards Data Distribution System (HDDS) provides data search and download capabilities. Users are able to obtain full-resolution GeoTIFF images or JPEG images at medium and low quality compressions.
