Abstract:
Web Weather for Kids is an Internet site for kids in grades 5-8. It presents hands-on activities and information about dramatic weather events - thunderstorms, lightning, blizzards, hurricanes and tornadoes. Activities have been classroom-tested by Project LEARN (http://www.ucar.edu/learn/) and are aligned with the National Science Education Standards.
Web Weather for Kids offers: - An online international weather forecasting contest - Interesting, inquiry-based experiments about weather for classroom and home. - Kid-friendly and well illustrated Web pages. - Great tips for teachers, parents, and youth group leaders.
