Abstract:
The Emissions of Atmospheric Compounds & Compilation of Ancillary Data (ECCAD) web application provides interactive tools for data visualization, intercomparison and analysis. After selecting the dataset of interest (emissions or ancillary data), the user can display maps of the gridded data, compare maps for two datasets, draw temporal profiles (for a specific location), compute totals over different regions (total global emissions, or total burnt areas over Africa for ex.), and get tables of statistics (min, max, average values of the data selection). The user can also download the selected data, in NetCDF or ASCII format. The ECCAD application proposes also a module for calculating online biomass burning emissions, from a chosen set of ancillary data and parameters.
