Miscellaneous NSSDC Atmospheric Data from Earlier Spacecraft
Entry ID:
63-009A
Summary
Abstract:
NSSDC holds many data sets containing measurements of the structure,
composition, and dynamics of the Earth's neutral atmosphere. The measurements are both in situ and remote. For details about searching for NSSDC data, see: http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/ Geographic Coverage

Quality
Since the method is based on regression, variability is underestimated and therefore the magnitude of some extreme values is underestimated. However, in no case during the satellite era, when data collected both by satellite and at stations were available, was the sign of the reconstructed deviation from the mean different than observed.
