Laser Vegetation Imaging Sensor (LVIS) Dataset over New England
Entry ID:
GSFC_LVIS_NE_2003
Summary
Abstract:
Canopy height and estimation of aboveground biomass to determine forest structure were collected by laser scanning over the Bartlett Experimental Forest (BEF) in central New Hampshire (USA) using LVIS (Laser Vegetation Imaging Sensor), the airborne VCL (Vegetation Canopy Lidar) simulator.
The primary data products are: * Earth topography (bare ground with vegetation removed). * Vertical structure of tree canopies. * Biomass estimates and above ground carbon stocks. * Surface roughness. * Entropy or Information density of the surveyed surface Source: GSFC/LVIS Team
