Summary
Abstract: Long term spatialised demographic data obtained as part of a CNRS/IPEV (French Polar Institute) research program aiming at examining the response of animal populations to environmental variability at different spatial scales. The study system is a host-parasite system at three levels, involving arctic seabirds, specifically the Black-legged Kittiwake _Rissa tridactyla_, as hosts, the tick Ixodes ... View entire text

ISO Topic Category
Quality Breeding success of Black-legged kittiwakes:
Survey of study plots every three days between each year between early May until late July. Samples size in number of nest sites: > 300 each year.

Egg size/clutch size of Black-legged kittiwakes:
Length and width of eggs measured on a sub-sample of the nest surveyed for breedign success (sample size > 400 eggs each year).

Annual survival rate of Black-legged kittiwakes:
To be estimated using multi-site CMR methods on a sample of several hundreds of individually colour ringed breeding birds. Resightings are conducted every three days during the breeding season on the series of study plots (where a survey of breeding is also conducted).
Access Constraints Scientific publication of those metadata is planned for the near future. Those metadata will then be fully accessible.
