Abstract: A coast wide tagging study was initiated in 1986 with the purpose of
providing vital information on mortality and migration rates to those
involved in management of Atlantic striped bass (Emergency Striped

Purpose: Initially, the purpose of the Cooperative Striped Bass Tagging
Program, was to evaluate hatchery contribution to restoration efforts
and monitor mortality and migration of wild stock. A major objective
of the tagging program has been stock-specific estimates of mortality.
