Summary
Abstract: Hydrometeorological data on the conditions of the environment are held
by the Russian State Fund of data. This dataset was created by
RIHMI-WDC in 1981 and containes gridded data for north-west part of
Pacific Ocean. Dataset is obtained through conversion of data
reseived from USA and additionally in RIHMI-WDC. Locations of cyclones
are given for 00.00 ar 12.00 GMT. The archive includes data on the
following: movement of a cyclone centre within 12 hours preceding
observation (mean velocity and direction of movement), pass by a
cyclone centre of 5? and 2,5? squares, type of a cyclone centre
movement , data source and other. Data is currently stored on
magnetic tape (800 bit/inch).
