Abstract:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic dimethyl sulfide (DMS) made globally during various research projects and collated into the Global Surface Seawater DMS Database. This database represents an attempt to put most of the global set of seawater DMS measurements on one server, where data can be selected from geographical regions and/or specific time periods. Data is available from 3 November 1972 to the present and additional contributions of data are welcomed. The statistics of each sub-set of DMS data can be viewed on the output page and the selected data can be downloaded as an ascii file.
