Abstract:
This product was introduced 1996 as an alternative to the SATOB product,
containing all winds from all three channels, using the low resolution 80x80 segment matrix. From the 2 December 2002 the ELW product consists of winds from the IR channel only, a selection of the Low Resolution VIS and WV AMVs are still available in the SATOB coded product (see below), but users are encouraged to use the HRV ...
