Abstract:
The Summary Climatological Data (SCD) (DSI-3101) is a digital data set at the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). Data is taken in real-time from the US National Weather Service (NWS) NOAAPort service. (NOAAPort is the satellite broadcast service for NOAA real-time data.) Information contained in DSI-3101 includes: 24hr Maximum Temperature, 24hr Minimum Temperature, 24hr Precipitation, Cloud Cover and Type, Duration of Sunshine, Depth of New Snow, Depth of Snow on Ground, Water Equivalent of Snow on Ground, Tide data and Present Weather.
Purpose: To make a wide range of climatic data available to researchers and the public. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: data set CURRENTNESS REFERENCE: Ground Condition

Quality
Quality Assurance procedures for these analyses were established by
the EPA Duluth laboratory (U.S. EPA 1990). All data included in the present report passed EPA's quality assurance criteria. The laboratory data were reviewed and data qualifiers were added as appropriate. The data qualifiers used were defined as follows: D-Below quantitation limit for PCBs. Reported concentration not included in total. U-Not detected. Value is the detection limit. All data entered in the database were reviewed for data entry errors. All detected errors were corrected.
