Eddy covariance measurements at Reeves Neve glacier (94-95)
Entry ID:
Meas_Reeves_Neve_glacier_94-95
Summary
Abstract:
Eddy covariance measurements performed at Reeves Neve glacier (1200 m ASL)
during the Antarctic summer 94/95. The measurements started on 24th November 1994 and stopped 7th January 1995. The instrumentation was constituted by a Gill triaxial sonic anemometer model research (Gill Instr., U.K.), and a Krypton hygrometer KH 20 (Campbell Scient., U.K.). The raw data were collected at 21 Hz and sent via RS422 serial output to a PC. The signals were stored in digital forms (11 bits) on floppy disks of 20 Megabytes and processed off line. The reason for collecting fast response sonic anemometer and humidity data is to compute eddy covariance estimates in order to obtain the surface fluxes as well as latent and sensible heat fluxes and other micrometeorological quantities. The raw data were processed off line with a FORTRAN program (Servizi e
