Abstract:
Meteosat is an earth observation dedicated geostationary satellite
located at 36000 km above the intersection of the Equator and the Greenwich Meridian. It has been launched by the European Space Agency and is operated by Eumetsat. It provides images of the globe at both visible and infra-red wavelengths. Data are transmitted every half hour to the Eumetsat operational base station in Germany, ... ![]()
