Summary

Abstract: Gridded MODIS land/water mask products for northern Eurasia

The gridded MODIS land/water mask products presents gridded statistical
summaries of standard 1km MODIS Digital Elevation Model land water mask
(Salomon et al., 2004). The product is intended for use in Giovanni system
focused on regional (NEESPI) analysis of surface processes and climate
modeling. The land/water mask products are generated at 1 degree spatial
resolution for the year 2001. The products are generated from the original
MODIS 10 degree sinusoidal tiles globally.
