Abstract:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic methane made by Mary Scrantonn, oceanic carbon dioxide made by Yrene Astor and oceanic ammonia made by Kent Fanning during research cruises in the Cariaco Basin, Southern Caribbean Sea as part of the CARIACO project. The sampling began on 8 November 1995 and are on-going. The sampling is carried out in the Cariaco Basin at 10.3N latitude 64.4W longitude.
The data consists of: Measurements of CH4 in the ocean were made using gas chromatography. Measurements of CO2 in the ocean were made spectrophotometrically from pH and alkalinity. Measurements of NH3 in the ocean. See below for further details.
